XDEX has a new look. The main X1 exchange at app.xdex.xyz has been rebuilt from the ground up: it is now all black, the swap page has a live price chart next to the swap box, and a new Portfolio page shows everything your wallet does on XDEX in one place. Above all, it is fast.

X1 Report asked Jason, the founder of XDEX, about the update. He told us he had wanted it for a long time:

"I've been want to do a redesign for many months. I wanted XDEX and always have to be able to contend with the other large scale DEXs. As I said in the beginning, I will first catch up, then I will pass. I am a very competitive person so am always looking to do better than the rest regardless of scale. Lots more to come."

Why now, and not earlier? "First was just getting it out to the public. Lots going on," Jason said. That is no exaggeration. In the same months he worked on the degen launchpad, the X1 Wallet, core.x1.xyz and XDEX itself, which added TWAP and limit orders and farms that pay XP.

A new swap page

The swap page used to be a single box. Now the screen is split in two. On the left is a chart of the pair you are trading, XNT/USDC.X by default, with 1H, 1D, 1W and 1M views. On the right is the swap panel with three tabs: Swap, TWAP and Limit. Slippage and a multi-hop routing switch sit in the same panel. Routing "routes through more than one pool when that gives a better price."

Under the chart are cards for top movers, the stocks on X1 (cbBTC, ETH, SPY, META, AMD and more, 16 in total), your portfolio and recent activity. A ticker across the top shows trending, hot, new and losing tokens, plus 24-hour volume, pair count, transactions and TVL. When we looked on October 19 XDEX listed 1,326 pairs and $101.1K in TVL. A priority-fee selector sits next to the wallet button.

The sidebar keeps every XDEX tool one click away: Swap, Alpha, Liquidity, Farming, Valistake, Mint Token and Portfolio.

Portfolio: your whole account on one page

The new Portfolio page is the biggest addition. Connect a wallet and it shows, from top to bottom:

  • Summary cards: wallet value, XP earned, liquidity positions, farming and Valistake.
  • Your assets: every token with price, 24-hour change, balance and value.
  • TWAP and limit orders: all your open orders in one list.
  • Liquidity: your LP positions.
  • Farming: the Core token farms, your staked LP and pending XP rewards.
  • Valistake: XNT staked to validators through XDEX and the rewards earned.
  • Mints: tokens you have created with Mint Token.
  • XP earnings: what you earn per day, your total XP and the 24-hour cycle, with a link to view XP rewards on Core.

Before, this information was spread across several pages. Now one screen answers the question every trader asks: what do I hold, and what is it earning?

The connect window says "XDEX reads your balances from X1 and Solana. Connecting does not send a transaction." A switch in the header moves between X1 Mainnet and Solana Mainnet.

One menu for the X1 apps

The sidebar also links out to the rest of the ecosystem: Core, degen, Bridge, Identity and the X1 Wallet. Identity is brand new. id.x1.xyz launched the same day and sells .x1 names that will work in the X1 Wallet (our story).

Those X1 Labs sites share one app menu, which connects to:

  • validators.x1.xyz: the full validator roster on a world map with a live leader schedule. On October 19 it showed 652 nodes, 503 active, 467 block producers and 1,002.60M XNT staked.
  • vesting.x1.xyz: investors connect a wallet to track and claim vested XNT (background).
  • bridge.x1.xyz: Warp Bridge between Solana and X1, which showed all 7 of 7 guardians healthy.
  • id.x1.xyz: X1 Identity names.
  • staking.x1.xyz: listed as "Delegation: stake XNT, earn yield". It did not load when we tried it, so it is probably still being built.

Fast

Speed was one of the main complaints about the old XDEX. Data often took a while to show up. The new site shows it almost at once. In three tests from a fresh browser with no cache, the swap page showed the live XNT price in 0.8 to 1.4 seconds, and the top movers list in under a second.

How did they make it so fast? Jason gave the credit to the people around him: "Speed is because of team effort. Our team is strong."

The result is a DEX that looks and feels like the big ones. Jason has promised there is more to come.
