pXNT is the liquid staking token of X1 Blockchain's native SPL stake pool. When you stake XNT into the X1 staking pool, you receive pXNT in return — a freely transferable token that represents your share of the pool. The key difference from regular staking is that pXNT never sits locked and idle: you can trade it, add it to liquidity pools, or use it in other X1 DeFi protocols while your underlying XNT continues earning staking yield.
Think of pXNT the way Ethereum users think of stETH, or Solana users think of mSOL. You're still earning validator rewards — your pXNT just proves it.
How pXNT Works
X1's staking pool runs on the SPL Stake Pool program. When you deposit XNT, the pool issues you pXNT at the current exchange rate. On day one the rate is roughly 1 XNT = 1 pXNT. As validators in the pool earn DPoS block rewards, the total XNT held by the pool grows — but the supply of pXNT stays the same. This means each pXNT becomes redeemable for more XNT over time. The yield is baked into the token itself rather than paid out as a separate reward stream.
When you're ready to exit, you redeem your pXNT for XNT at the then-current exchange rate, which will be higher than when you staked. There is no separate harvest step — the appreciation is automatic and continuous.
Method 1: Stake Directly in X1 Wallet
The X1 Wallet Chrome extension has native staking built in — no separate app or website needed.
- Open the X1 Wallet extension and make sure you have XNT in your wallet. If you need to acquire some first, see our guide to buying XNT.
- On the main wallet screen, press the three dots (⋯) menu in the top-right corner.
- Select Stake from the menu.
- Enter the amount of XNT you want to stake. The wallet will automatically calculate how much pXNT you'll receive at the current pool exchange rate.
- Confirm the transaction. pXNT will appear in your wallet balance within seconds.
The in-wallet staking flow handles everything automatically — pool selection, the SPL Stake Pool deposit instruction, and the pXNT mint — in a single transaction.
Method 2: Stake via the Delegation Interface
You can also stake directly through the X1 Foundation's delegation portal at delegation.mainnet.x1.xyz/stake. This is the same staking pool, accessed via a dedicated web interface. Connect your wallet, enter an amount, and confirm. The pXNT mint address is pXNTyoqQsskHdZ7Q1rnP25FEyHHjissbs7n6RRN2nP5 — you can verify this in your transaction after staking.
What to Do With Your pXNT
Once you hold pXNT, you have several options — each with a different risk and yield profile:
Hold pXNT and Earn Passively
The simplest option. Hold pXNT in your wallet and do nothing. The exchange rate against XNT rises automatically as the pool earns validator rewards. No claiming, no compounding, no action required.
Provide Liquidity on XDEX (XNT/pXNT Pool)
The primary XNT/pXNT liquidity pool on XDEX has pool address 5k1CZA6RCJnwSuBxmk4a3ZTH7yCpxFDUonZVwau6bHfW. By depositing into this pool you earn trading fees on every XNT↔pXNT swap, on top of the underlying pXNT staking yield. Because XNT and pXNT are highly correlated in price (pXNT is always backed by XNT), impermanent loss in this pool is structurally very low compared to volatile pairs.
To add liquidity: go to app.xdex.xyz/liquidity, find the XNT/pXNT pool, and deposit equal value of both tokens. You'll receive LP tokens representing your share of the pool.

Unstaking: Redeeming pXNT for XNT
To unstake, you reverse the process: submit your pXNT to the pool and receive XNT at the current exchange rate. You can do this through the same X1 Wallet menu (three dots → Unstake) or through the delegation portal. Note that SPL Stake Pool withdrawals may have a brief cooldown depending on when in the epoch you unstake — typically less than one epoch (~2 days at most).
